In her words, "Often, ascribed “leaders” working in underserved communities are not afforded the opportunity, or do not have the impetus, to reflect on their roles. This includes both intended and unintended consequences of these roles. Join Dr. Ngaruiya, MD, MSc, DTM&H, a global health practitioner with twenty years of practice working with underserved populations in the US and abroad, as she discusses a critical take on how leaders (especially young/ developing leaders and students) can frame their approaches to working in underserved communities and realize the best outcomes for those that most need it."
